Privacy Policy

Event Lotto (“Event Lotto”, “we”, “us”), operated by Steeltype LLC, provides the “Wallet Card Prize Draw” platform that lets event organizers run free-to-enter prize draws at their booths. This policy explains what personal information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using our websites or services you agree to this policy.
Who controls your data
When you enter a contest, the organizer running that contest is the controller of your information and uses Event Lotto to operate the draw; we process that information on their behalf. For our own websites (including the “Book a demo” form) and organizer accounts, Event Lotto is the controller.
Information we collect
- Contest entrants: the name and the email address and/or phone number you submit on a contest entry form, any additional information the organizer asks for on their entry form, and the wallet pass / QR code generated for your entry.
- Prospective customers: the name, work email, company, phone, and message you submit through “Book a demo”.
- Organizers (customers): account and sign-in details (via our identity provider), organization details, and billing information.
- Technical data: limited server logs (such as IP address and request metadata) needed to operate and secure the service. Our apps use your device’s local/session storage to keep you signed in. We use a third-party error-monitoring and performance service (Sentry) to capture crashes, performance traces, and masked session diagnostics so we can find and fix problems — on-screen text and form inputs are masked before capture, and we do not record the contents of API requests. We do not use third-party advertising trackers, and we do not sell your personal information.
- Email engagement: emails sent for a contest include a small tracking image that tells us and the organizer whether the email was delivered and opened, so they can see which entrants received their wallet pass.
How we use information
- To create and deliver your wallet pass and run the contest (booth check-in, leaderboard, winner selection and notification).
- To respond to demo requests and communicate with prospective and current customers.
- To provide, maintain, secure, and improve the service, and to process billing.
- To comply with legal obligations and enforce our terms.
How information is shared
- With the organizer of a contest you enter (they receive the entrant list for that contest, including export).
- Service providers / sub-processors that run the platform: cloud hosting and email (Amazon Web Services), payments (Stripe), wallet passes (Apple and Google), and authentication. These providers process data on our instructions.
- Legal and safety reasons, or in connection with a business transfer.
We do not sell your personal information.
Retention
We keep personal information for as long as needed to run the relevant contest, provide the service, and meet legal and operational requirements, after which it is deleted or de-identified. Organizers control how long their contest data is retained, subject to their own obligations.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict the use of your personal information, or to object to certain processing. To exercise a right, contact us at privacy@eventlotto.io. If your information was collected as part of a contest, you may also contact the organizer who ran it. We will not discriminate against you for exercising these rights.
Security
We protect information in transit with encryption, encrypt retained contact details (such as entrant email addresses and phone numbers) at rest with a managed key service, and limit access on a need-to-know basis. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
International processing
We are based in the United States and process data on infrastructure located there. If you access the service from elsewhere, you understand your information may be processed in the United States.
Children
The service is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.
Changes
We may update this policy; we will revise the “last updated” date above and, where appropriate, provide additional notice.
